LET FAITH ARISE
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We bring a short shot of Wednesday motivation built around Mark 5:36 and the choice to answer fear with faith. We talk about how a bad report can be real without becoming the author of our story, then we close in prayer and challenge you to stop handing fear the pen.
• the moment fear shows up before the answer
• Jairus in Mark 5 and “Don’t be afraid, just believe”
• how everyday stressors trigger worst-case stories
• fear as false evidence appearing real
• faith as trust when you cannot see the ending
• separating a report from the author of your life
• replacing “what if” with “even if”
• prayer to surrender fear and let faith arise

A Toast To The Misfits
SPEAKER_00It is to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the ones who see the world differently, who don't fit neatly into boxes, and refuse to live by someone else's script. You can quote them, you can disagree with them, you can glorify them or vilify them, you can shake your head at their ideas or be inspired by their courage. But the one thing you cannot do is ignore them. Because they change things. They disrupt what's comfortable, they challenge what's normal, and they push the human race forward. Sometimes with loud revolutions, sometimes with quiet persistence that changes everything over time. They see possibility where others see limits. They dare to dream out loud when the world tells them to be silent. They take risks, they stumble, they rise again, and they keep going. Not because it's easy, but because they can't imagine doing anything else. These are the ones who remind us that every great leap forward was once considered impossible. So here's to them the ones who won't sit down, won't be quiet, and won't stop until the world is different. Because they're the reason it will be.

Welcome And Wednesday Motivation
SPEAKER_01Hello, we would like to welcome you to the first Facebook with my husband, your host, B Rob. So without further ado, here's B-Rob.
SPEAKER_03Hey guys, it's B-Rob and welcome back to the Food for Thought Faith Cast. And it is Wednesday, it is hump day, and we are going to give you a little Wednesday motivation. We're gonna let our faith arise today.
Fear Shows Up Before Answers
SPEAKER_03Keep seeing this on my phone, Mark 536, and it simply says, Don't be afraid, just believe. So today I want to talk about something we all face. That moment when fear gets there first, before you know it, before you even know how things are gonna work out, before the prayer is even answered, before the door is even open, before anything changes, fear shows up and starts telling you how the story's gonna end, right? And everybody knows that. But Jesus gives us another option. That's where we have to let our faith arise. You see, when fear delivers a bad report, Jesus always ends the story in a different way.
Jairus And The Words Of Jesus
SPEAKER_03In Mark chapter five, there's the story of uh Jarus. Let's just say uh we'll call him Jay, okay? Because I don't really know how to pronounce it, but it's uh spelled J-A-I-R-U-S. But he's a man. Jay comes to Jesus because his daughter is sick and dying. Jesus agrees to go with him, but before they actually get there, somebody comes to Jay's, somebody comes from Jay's house with uh really bad news. Uh your daughter has passed. Your daughter has died. Then comes the question of why even bother the teacher anymore? She's already dead. Why even bother Jesus? In other words, the people around him questioning were basically saying, It's too late, no need for prayers, stop expecting, stop believing. But before Jay could even respond to his friends, Jesus said, Don't be afraid, just believe. Just have faith. Don't be afraid, just believe. Notice Jesus did not say there was not a problem, because obviously there was a problem. He said, basically, don't let fear decide what happens inside of you because of that problem. Eventually Jesus walked into that house, took that little girl by the hand, and she got up because he told her to. But we're not gonna stay on that story. Because sometimes Mark V looks a lot more like uh Tuesday morning or Wednesday morning in 2026.
The Check Engine Light Spiral
SPEAKER_03Just imagine working all day Tuesday. You get up, you go to work Wednesday, and Tuesday was a long day. And your money's tight. You got bills you need to pay. You go to crank your car Wednesday morning, and suddenly a warning light comes on, a check engine light. In your head, immediately fear starts to run rapid and write the story. You start thinking, great, maybe it's a transmission problem. That's three, four thousand dollars, and I can't afford another car in my credit shop. Great. How am I gonna work? Because I could I gotta use my car for work. What's going to happen? Even though nothing has actually happened yet, other than a check engine light came on. You follow where I'm going? You see how our minds work, you see how that works. One little light comes on, but in your mind, you've already lost the car, you've already missed work, you've already emptied your bank account, and you've already ruined the next six months of your life in your head, and that is called fear because fear stands for false evidence appearing real. But fear, don't mistake, fear has an incredible ability to write an entire story from one false piece of information, so you actually check it out, you chat GPT it, or you even took it to the dealership, and after all, they just say your gas cap wasn't tight enough. That's it, and in your head, you spent all that time, effort, and emotional energy suffering through something that never happened. Because ninety percent of the things that we think of in our head never come to fruition anyway, but yet we exhaust that emotional energy on that fear, that false evidence appearing real.
Everyday Triggers That Feed Anxiety
SPEAKER_03And we do that more than with cars. One strange email from the boss, oh, I'm getting fired. One unexpected bill, oh, we're never gonna recover from that. Or here's a good one your child doesn't answer the phone when you call. Oh, something terrible's happened. All the scenarios that run through your brain. One little symptom, and we think of the worst possible diagnosis, just like one difficult season in life, and we think that God has forgotten us. And guys, that's a tough pill to swallow, isn't it? Because fear takes what is happening and attaches what might happen until the possibility feels like a reality. It's false evidence appearing real. Fear wants the microphone. Fear wants the microphone. And fear is projected in our daily lives every single day through our phones, through our TVs, through our iPads, through everything we come in contact with. Don't go hungry. Go to Taco Bell and cure your late night cravings. Yeah. The fear of going hungry, right? That's why the words of Jesus in this verse are so powerful. Don't be afraid, just believe.
Fear Versus Faith In Plain Terms
SPEAKER_03You see, fear and faith both ask you to believe something you cannot see. But the difference is, fear says, believe the worst is coming. Faith says, believe God will be with you no matter what comes. Faith isn't saying nothing bad will ever happen. But faith says whatever happens, God is still God. Faith doesn't mean the warning light is not real. But faith means you die, you don't diagnose the whole journey from one light on the dashboard. You see, the reporter is often times not the author of the story.
Bad Reports Aren’t The Author
SPEAKER_03You see, Jay received a report that his daughter was dead. The report was real, but that report was not the author of his story. You see, a lot of times we allow a report, a negative report, to become the author of our story. It could be a financial report, it could be a medical report, it could be a relationship report, it could be a bad report about our children or our future. It could even be us giving ourselves a bad report. Like, I'm too old. I've messed up too much in my life, nothing ever changes. I'll always be like this. My family is cursed. Have you heard those things before? You were speaking bad reports over yourself. You were letting those reports become the author of your story. You see, a report can tell you what things may look like right now, but it cannot tell you everything God can do and what God is going to do next. That's why Jesus says, don't fear, believe. We have to let our faith arise.
Don’t Hand Fear The Pen
SPEAKER_03And maybe that's your assignment for today. Maybe you're not supposed to figure everything out. Maybe you're not supposed to know what next month looks like. But one thing's for sure, we don't pretend the problem isn't real. We just need to refuse to let fear become the loudest voice in our head. And what I mean by that, when fear says what if, let faith say, even if. Yep, I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know who holds tomorrow. You see, that's faith. You see, Jay heard from his friends, your father is dead. Why bother the teacher? You saw a check engine light, a warning light. Different situations, different times, but the temptation is the same. Then temptation is let fear finish the story before you even know the ending. And that is today's food for thought. Stop letting fear finish stories that God is still writing. Stop letting fear finish stories that God is still writing. Fear is false evidence appearing real. You don't know everything that's coming. You don't know exactly how God is going to move. You cannot even comprehend it. You don't know what tomorrow will bring. But you know what Jesus said? Don't be afraid. Just believe. So when that fear rises, let faith arise. When that report comes in, let your faith arise. When your mind starts racing with negative things, let your faith arise. When you do not know the answer and cannot see the future, let your faith arise because faith isn't knowing how the story ends, but faith is knowing who you are trusting while that story is still written and you are trusting in God the Father.
A Prayer To Surrender Fear
SPEAKER_03Dear Heavenly Father, we to today we just come to you, Lord. We surrender our stories of fear. We surrender the stories that fear has been writing in our lives and in our minds, Lord. We surrender, we put that to the foot of the cross. Lord, please teach us to recognize the difference between what is actually happening and what fear is actually telling us. Lord, when bad news or reports come, please let our faith arise. Lord, when uncertainty comes, please let our faith arise. Lord, when we are waiting and we don't understand why we are waiting and what you're doing, please let our faith arise. The words that say, do not be afraid, just believe. Because Lord, we trust in you with our whole book and the pages and the ending we have not seen yet. It's in Jesus' holy, heavenly name that we pray. Amen and hallelujah. Well,
Final Charge And Next Step
