A Toast To The Misfits
SPEAKER_00It is to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the ones who see the world differently, who don't fit neatly into boxes, and refuse to live by someone else's script. You can quote them, you can disagree with them, you can glorify them or vilify them, you can shake your head at their ideas or be inspired by their courage. But the one thing you cannot do is ignore them. Because they change things. They disrupt what's comfortable, they challenge what's normal, and they push the human race forward. Sometimes with loud revolutions, sometimes with quiet persistence that changes everything over time. They see possibility where others see limits. They dare to dream out loud when the world tells them to be silent. They take risks, they stumble, they rise again, and they keep going. Not because it's easy, but because they can't imagine doing anything else. These are the ones who remind us that every great leap forward was once considered impossible. So here's to them the ones who won't sit down, won't be quiet, and won't stop until the world is different.
Links, Welcome, And A Reset
SPEAKER_01Because they're the reason it will be.com forward slash B-rob. That's TreyNot.com forward slash B-rob.
SPEAKER_08Hello, we would like to welcome you to the Food for Dot Facecast with my husband, your host, B-rob. So without further ado, here's B-Rob.
From Hospital Recovery To Harvest
SPEAKER_01Hey guys, it's B-rob. It's the Food for Thought Faith Cast and I want to welcome you back. And I have not done a episode in a while. It's been almost two weeks, and you're probably wondering why. And I just want to apologize because I've been so busy. God has got me in a season of harvest. And I just want to say, man, I cannot imagine the prayer, the obedience, the everything that I did while I was sitting still, healing after I got out of the hospital. I never in imagin, I never in a thousand years or seventeen thousand years would imagine that I would have answered an indeed opportunity, business opportunity, not just a job, but a business opportunity. And I didn't have any money. I was broke from not working, from being sick, um and I was in Spartanburg all last week. I started this job on April the first. And it's not a job because job means just overbroke. Like I said, this was a business opportunity and I I accepted it, and I actually it took me about two months to get licensed and go through the course and the school and everything, and I accepted
New Insurance Business And Fast Wins
SPEAKER_01it. I got my life insurance license, and I actually started my business on April the first, and I was in Spartanburg last week. Our company had a conference in Spartanburg on Thursday, but we were there all week taking over the whole town, working, um, networking, training, training new people. I mean, like I said, I I've only been there since April, and now I'm already training new people. I won an award for having one of the fastest starting businesses. I won the Iron Pen Award, which means the most apps. It's just an and I got a promotion. And it's it's only August, but that was just through the halftime, through the end of June. So July doesn't even count. But that's an amazing thing, guys. That's that's I never in a mat that was not in the cards. That was not in the cards when I was sitting here doing the podcast every day, when I wrote my book, when I was actually recovering from being in the hospital. I mean, I didn't even know what was going to happen to me, my family. But look at what God has done, because I prayed every day. I read my Bible, I I I searched for him. I was still when he said to be still and know that he is God, and I'm now a living testimony, and that in itself is simply amazing.
Cutting Negativity And Old Habits
SPEAKER_01Let me show you what what God does and how God works, because when when you're on that frequency, when you take away all the negative things of your life, the alcohol, the cigarettes, the all the negative things. Now, I'm not gonna say I have not had a drink because that would be a lie. But having a drink at dinner and then coming home and drinking the rest of the bottle almost every day, that's totally different. Okay. Um, but I have not, I used to drink every day, and I don't, I don't anymore, by the grace of God. That that is simply amazing. It's it's a game changer, and I'm a transformed
The Chosen And Spiritual Awakening
SPEAKER_01person. I'm not that person I used to be. That person is dead, and I want to share something with you that God put on my heart because I've watched this show, The Chosen, like this is my third time watching it, and I don't remember seeing this part. In fact, that's all I watched when I was in the hospital for the second time was The Chosen. And um, it's an amazing show, and they even have things in the show. Let me just play this clip for you, and then we'll break down the clip afterwards. But this clip explains how I felt since my mind had an awakening in 2017. Actually, yeah, no, it was 2000, late 2016, it was November, December 2016, but 2017-2018 was just a solidifier because I I was seeing the numbers 1111 717. I was seeing all these things um 17 there's in you know the ancient language is numbers and symbols, despite what uh we've changed it to. Um but I want you to I want you to listen to this clip. This is a conversation between Philip, who had just joined the disciples. He used to um follow John the Baptist before Jesus showed up, and John the Baptist is at this point in prison, and the disciples have assembled. Well, God uh Jesus has assembled most disciples, and then Philip shows up, and this conversation he has with Matthew after um he watches an exchange between Matthew and Simon. And it is eye awakening, and it's exactly how I felt for the last ten years, especially last year when I was going through my physical transformation and awakening. So I'm gonna play this clip from the chosen and listen to it carefully and listen to what they are saying, and listen beyond surface level because those that have ears to hear mean exactly that. It means it doesn't mean if you've got ears you can hear, okay? It's a little bit deeper than that, as most of the gospels are. So for those that have ears to hear, let them hear. And here's the clip, and I'll I'll talk to you afterwards.
Clip: Awake Versus The Sleepers
SPEAKER_01We'll break it down.
SPEAKER_07What's up with you and Simon? He doesn't like me. He sees me as his enemy. Why? As a tax collector. Mm-hmm. Now he's everyone's enemy.
SPEAKER_03That doesn't shock you. I was something else once too. Once you've met the Messiah, am is all that matters. Next time he rides you remind him that the people out there, they want to define us by our past. Our sins. Out there where? With the sleepers. But we're different. We're awake.
SPEAKER_07I don't understand.
SPEAKER_03Well, you haven't felt any relief except with him, have you? Your rabbi?
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_03Don't expect to.
SPEAKER_06How did you memorize prophecy? In Hebrew school. Like all Jewish boys, didn't you? I started, but then I skipped ahead.
SPEAKER_03Skipped ahead? Never heard of anyone skipping ahead. What did they do that for? I was sent to apprentice under a bookkeeper. Were you that good with numbers or that bad with Torah? I was proficient in both. No, I'm kidding. How old when you skipped ahead? Eight. Eight? I showed unusual promise. I bet you did. How come you never circled back to Torah?
SPEAKER_07I was paraded before the magistrate. Rome offered me higher wages than the annual income of my father and three of his brothers combined.
SPEAKER_05Bought my first house when I was 13. Why did you need to buy a house? My father kicked you out.
SPEAKER_02I don't blame him. I thought you said he's a man. He acted by man's standards.
SPEAKER_03Everybody in your old life is playing a different game than you now. Do you get it?
SPEAKER_07No. Everyone speaks in the riddles. I can understand esoteric ideas. They're not beyond me.
SPEAKER_03Of course not. You'll probably pick it up faster than the rest of us. I'm sorry, man. I don't mean to sound like an oracle here. It's a force of habit. Spend all your time with a rogue preacher in the wilderness, and you get to be a little obtuse. They're simple ideas for complicated people.
SPEAKER_07I just in your obtuse language. It represents everything in the world and all the people that have ever been. And that's me.
SPEAKER_04That's how I feel.
SPEAKER_03I'll said good for you. And yes, I've been living literally outside this circle with John the Outcast for a couple years, so I can relate. Stick around. You're gonna be alright.
SPEAKER_01Did you guys listen to that? Like really, really hear it? I can totally relate.
Not Defined By Your Past
SPEAKER_01Like I don't know how to explain this, but let's let's break this down. Let's let's um let's break it down. And I'll just explain my uh my thoughts.
SPEAKER_07Before or after you started following John? What's up with you and Simon? He doesn't like me. He sees me as his enemy. Why? As a tax collector.
SPEAKER_01He was a tax collector. Um I was a car salesman. In fact, I was manager of many car salesmen. You see the similarity there? We're not liked either. And I I really hated that. I really um that even though I helped people, I really hated the fact that I was prejudged like that. I I didn't like the fact that that was my career. I was not happy. So let's let's move on. Let's move on.
SPEAKER_07That was everyone's enemy.
SPEAKER_03That doesn't shock you. I was something else once too.
SPEAKER_01Did you hear what he said? Do you hear what Philip said? I was something once too. Now, let's continue.
SPEAKER_03Once you've met the Messiah, am is all that matters.
SPEAKER_01Once you met Jesus, am is all that matters. What you are from that point on. Where's the lie?
SPEAKER_03Next time you ride, you remind him that the people out there they want to define us by our past. Our sins. With the sleepers.
SPEAKER_01They want to define us by our past. And Matthew didn't understand. He said, What are you talking about? The people out where? And he said, the sleepers in the world. Wow. Wow. Wow. You see, you see where I'm going with this? You see? Let's let's move on.
SPEAKER_03I don't understand. Well, you haven't felt any relief except in him, have you? Don't have I No. Exactly.
SPEAKER_01Oh man. You haven't felt any relief in your life up until this point. Right? He's talking to him, he's asking him. Until he met and started following Jesus. Right? Yeah. Now you're tracking, now you tracking, and then Philip says, don't expect to. Everything the world has to offer is nothing. You see where I'm going with this? The world wants to define you of your past. You know what's crazy is I saw this. I saw this and and recorded this on a Friday night. Then the next day, on Saturday, I was at a family gathering and had a conversation with a family member that was blaming me for something for my past. So this actually prepared me for that conversation. You see how God works. And not only that, and I'm not going to say any names because we're going to protect the innocent, but not only that, I was able to recite those very lines. But I was able to say, I am not a sum of my past. God doesn't judge me from what I was. The I and I right now. And then it gets better. On Sunday, I'm having lunch. With more people than I'm close to. And one person does the exact same thing and brings up something I did in the past to them. And I kindly explain the exact same thing to them. So watching this clip or or watching this episode with this clip in it that I found, and I just got infatuated with this clip because it touched me so much because it touches me personally. So watching this episode just reminds me that yes, it's a lonely road. And
[Ad] Just Be True ~ A Soul-Led Podcast
SPEAKER_01yes, there's not a whole lot of people on it. And yes, that's why I'm sharing my testimony with you. Because I'm hoping to gain friends along the way on this lonely road, but it is the narrow road. It is the good road. It is the great road. It is the road home. Now let's continue.
SPEAKER_06How did you memorize prophecy? In Hebrew school. I got Jewish voice, didn't you? I started.
SPEAKER_03But then I skipped ahead. Skipped ahead? Never heard of anyone skipping ahead. What's the name of that for? I was sent to apprentice under a bookkeeper.
(Cont.) Not Defined By Your Past
SPEAKER_03Were you that good with numbers or that bad with Torah? How old did you skip to head? Eight. Eight? How come you never send them back to Torah?
SPEAKER_07I was created before the match. Street. Rome offered me higher wages than the annual income of my father and three of his brothers combined. Bought my first house when I was 13.
SPEAKER_05Why did you need to buy a house? My father kicked you out.
SPEAKER_01Now that gets into another deeper line. He was paraded at age eight in front of the Roman magistrate. Because he was smarter than most people. So he was basically trafficked, bought by Rome, and I guess Rome told his parents that he made that decision, and his parents blamed him. You see how that works? How does he how does a child make a decision like that? Sounds to me like the parents were paid. But you see that you see this has been going on for centuries. But I'm just a conspiracy theory. But they got it right there, you know. I'm not saying it's in the Bible, but it sure in your face, and it, I mean, you know, you just don't no surface value here. For those that have ears to hear, let them hear. You follow where I'm going with that. Okay. Let's continue.
SPEAKER_02I don't blame him. I thought you said as a man. He acted by man's standards.
SPEAKER_03Everybody in your own life is playing a different game than you now. You get it?
SPEAKER_07No. Everyone speaks in the middle.
Here's the circle. It represents everything in the world and all the people that have ever been. And that's me.
SPEAKER_04That's how I feel.
SPEAKER_03And yes, I've been living literally outside this circle with Germany and Kiss for a couple of years. I can relate. Let me be a night.
SPEAKER_01That's an amazing thing. That's an amazing thing right there. I mean that that. If you feel that way, then you're doing something right, is all I can say. I mean, did you have your life together before you met God? Before you started following God, before you let Jesus in your heart? I mean, you may have. I know a lot of people think they need to clean up or they need to do certain things before they can do certain things, if that makes sense. You know, a lot of people have habits they want to overcome before having a relationship. A lot of people have things they want to accomplish before they have a relationship. But let me just um give you an example. Let me give you an example, okay? When I was um young, fresh out of high school, I uh started working for my dad, who's a master electrician. He's actually an electrical engineer, but he owned his own electrical company. And um
Discipleship Means Learning On The Job
SPEAKER_01I wanted to. But I didn't feel like I didn't have the tools. So, like the first day felt out of place. I didn't have experience. I didn't, you know, I was kind of embarrassed, and I was like, I didn't want to leave the truck, you know. Everybody else had their own tools, this, that, and the other. It was more like I need to get my stuff together or I need to get some tools before I could really start working. That was in my head, right? Um, but but um just say my dad, my dad comes and says, Well, if you already had tools, if you already knew everything, if everything was already there, then you wouldn't need my help, as you wouldn't need to become my apprentice. So bring your your no-tool having butt with me, and I'll put you on a crew, and you'll learn from there. And at first, you know, I didn't have a lot of tools. He gave me some old ones. I I did some things wrong, you know, I didn't nail some things right. I probably put a receptacle where I shouldn't have, you know, that sort of thing. Um and I had to do a lot of things over. But every day I was learning because I was doing it and watching other people's doing it, and I watched how they use their tools, I watched where they put their things, I asked questions, I learned from my mistakes. Then I started completing what I started, and then next thing you know, months later, I opened my toolbox to grab my old tools, and they had been cleaned. They had been, some had been replaced with new ones. And me myself, if I'm looking in the mirror, I was a changed person too, with more wisdom, more knowledge, more skills. But would I have gotten that just sitting at home, waiting, just because I said I think I needed to get better before I started. You see, the lesson is I wasn't called because I was already skilled. I was called to become or learn new skills, if that makes sense. And that's actually what discipleship looks like. Iron sharpens iron. You see, Jesus doesn't say repair yourself and follow me. He says, follow me. And then that's when the repairing begins, and it's gradually along the way. When Jesus called Peter and Andrew, they were working on their fishing nets. He told them to follow him, promising to make them fishers of people, of men. But notice in Matthew 419, the order says, Follow me first. It doesn't say, Go make yourself better and then come follow me. It says, follow me first, then I will make you. You see, the change followed the calling. You see, Peter did not become a fearless apostle overnight. He misunderstood Jesus. He spoke impulsively, he lost courage, he even denied knowing him. Yet Jesus continued to shape him. Because Peter's failures did not surprise Jesus. Christ saw both the unstable fisherman Peter, and then he also saw the faithful shepherd that he would become in the future. You see, God begins a good work in us, and he will continue it until it is completed in Christ. You're nothing more than a work in progress. You're God's work in progress. Today is an amazing day. And I want you to ask yourself some things. If you haven't built a relationship with Christ, what are you trying to fix before you
Come As You Are To Christ
SPEAKER_01approach it? You don't have to earn God's love. Why? Your weakness does not prevent you from beginning. You have to start somewhere. And that somewhere is the very place where God's strength is displayed. So, guys, if you don't have a relationship with Christ today, I want you to come as you are. I want you to be prepared to grow. Be prepared to learn. Bring your broken tools so that they may be fixed. The master is still building something beautiful in you. Let's go to the Lord in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, we just thank you today for calling us even before we have our life together. Lord, just please forgive us for believing that we must earn an invitation to you when you
Prayer For Courage And Renewal
SPEAKER_01have already extended grace through your son Jesus. Lord, please give us the courage to follow Jesus honestly, faithfully. Lord, please renew our minds or correct us with your love and help us to produce the fruit in our lives that reflect your genuine genuineness. Lord, please help us to repent. Please, Lord, teach us to work and follow and be obedient. Because we know what you are doing in us is not finished. Lord, please take our weaknesses away, our mistakes. Help us finish our unfinished places in life. Help us shape ourselves for your purpose. Lord, help us trust that the one who began the work will faithfully continue it because we know that you keep your promises, Lord. And it's in Jesus' holy, heavenly name we pray these things. Amen and hallelujah. Well, guys, I hope you enjoyed this. I know it's been a while, and we're gonna continue to keep rolling, but I have been very busy helping people and um doing what God wants me to do. And I know this podcast is part of that, and
Love, Blessing, And Final Warning
SPEAKER_01we will continue doing this podcast. Guys, I just want to say I love you. God bless you. And if you do not have a relationship with Jesus, you need to get right.
