We start the day fighting for momentum, asking God to protect us, and naming the ways our energy can get drained while we still choose faith. We unpack a saltwater pool metaphor to show why “salt of the earth” only works when God’s power activates us, then we trace how pride grows in the heart and how humility keeps us safe.
• momentum as a daily spiritual battle
• saltwater pool “clean” secret and why it still uses chlorine
• “salt of the earth” as cleansing work that needs God’s spark
• the fall as a slow collapse that turns sudden
• Lucifer’s self-exaltation in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28
• social media as a mirror for identity tied to attention
• Proverbs 16:18 and pride as a crack in the foundation
• Jesus choosing humility and obedience in Philippians 2
• the question of who sits on the throne of our hearts

So I won't be caught off guard.

You are the power of the colour when you bought the wall. Well, your children. We look for you. Help us to avoid the poem and deliver us from evil. You are the mighty one, the one who will ultimately bring all evil to light. With you, Jesus. We are safe. Amen.

Momentum And Starting The Day

SPEAKER_00

Hey guys, it's B. Rob, it's the Food for Thought Faith Cast, and it is Monday, June 8th. And I'm trying to be as positive as I can be today because something is stealing my energy. And I'm not real sure why. But today's gonna be a good day. Okay. And um you want to know why? Because I got momentum, and momentum is the hardest thing to gain and the easiest thing to lose. And we're not gonna lose momentum, we're gonna keep going, and everything is gonna be in the name and the blood of Jesus Christ.

Salt As A Cleansing Metaphor

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna read something from uh this month's article of George. I don't know if you know anything about George magazine, not just politics as usual. This is from uh issue 44. Now, this was the magazine that JFK Jr. started before his crash. Um and I find it very interesting, not because it's just a magazine, but it's there's a lot of biblical references in the magazine, and um I like the writers. So I'm gonna read you something. Um this is uh called Salt, the Cleansing Force, and it's written by the editor-in-chief of the magazine, Gene Ho. And I don't know if you know anything about Gene Ho, but he was um Trump's photographer during the first uh first four years. Um he's he's um pretty cool. So I'm gonna read this to you. It's called Salt the Cleansing Force, and it is by Gene Ho. So it says, Look at me, look at me, so pure, so natural, so holistic. That's me on vacation standing in the hotel pool, proudly labeled as saltwater pool. Here's the thing: saltwater pools do have a secret. It's not a dirty little secret, it's a clean little secret. Saltwater pools still use chlorine, they just make it differently. You see, in a traditional pool, you toss in chlorine tablets, they dissolve slowly, and the chlorine kills algae, bacteria, and other stuff. You don't want to be swimming with you in the pool. In a saltwater pool, the chlorine is still there, but the pool makes it on site instead of you having to go buy the expensive tablets. So here's how it works: salt is made up of sodium and chloride, Cl. If you dump salt into pool water and walk away, nothing gets sanitized. Salt alone doesn't clean the pool. But if you have a device called a salt cell, the salt cell is a chamber made up of titanium plates with a low electrical charge running through it. The salty water then passes through the cell, the electricity temporarily splits the salt apart. The chloride becomes chlorine, that chlorine circulates through the pool and does the cleaning. When it's done, it then recombines back into salt and the cycle repeats. So instead of buying chlorine, the pool's making its own chlorine using salt plus electricity. It's smart, it's efficient, it feels softer on your skin, but it's still chlorine. Jesus instructed his believers to be salt of the earth. Now imagine our job as salt. Yes, you can certainly preserve with salt, you can certainly enhance foods with salt, but you can also cleanse with salt, especially in water. However, salt sitting in water doesn't sanitize anything. Salt only becomes useful when it's energized, activated, and charged. If we're going to be salt of the earth, if we're going to bring truth, hope, and faith into the world, we need more than a label. We need the spark, we need the power of God that puts our salt to work. You see, salt without power does nothing. Salt with power, though, changes everything. Be the electrical spark in people's lives that you were meant to be. Seek to spread the truth of our Lord Jesus Christ and spark those around you with the contagious energy you now have since becoming a believer. Also, seek out falsehoods in order to destroy them like bacteria killing chlorine in a pool. But guys, all of this requires action on our parts. Believers must understand at times we might have to separate ourselves from our smooth seasoned with salt selves. Like Jesus, who overturned the tables. At times the sodium needs to decouple from chloride Cl to do its cleansing work. When you are done, salt will return to its original form until the spark comes again to do the cleansing work once again. And that was Gene Ho. I thought that was a good article. I thought it was great. I think the symbolism is great. I think um it's an amazing message. Because we need a spark, we need that electricity so we can help cleanse.

Where The Fall Really Begins

SPEAKER_00

Let's get into that. We're gonna talk about something else as well. We're gonna talk about the fall and where it starts. And specifically, we're gonna talk about Satan. But let's talk about the fall. Have you ever noticed that most disasters don't happen all at once? Like a big corporation or a company, it doesn't collapse overnight. A marriage doesn't fall apart in a day. I mean, a company can lose a bunch of stock overnight and it starts sliding. A marriage doesn't fall apart in a day. I mean, there are circumstances, yeah, where everything people think they're great and their nightmare occurs, like, you know, adultery or something, you know, stupid. But typically a marriage doesn't fall apart in a day. It takes time. You know? A person doesn't wake up in the morning and suddenly becomes someone they never thought they'd be. Right? Whether good or bad, but the collapse usually starts long before anybody sees it. Kind of like the story of Lucifer. Most people say Lucifer failed because of pride. Well, there's truth to that. But what kind of pride are we talking about? Isaiah 14 kind of gives us a glimpse. You said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne, I will be like the most high. That's Isaiah 14, 13, and 14. You see, notice where it started. Not with action, not with rebellion, not with a war. It started with the heart. You see, if you read that, he says, I will many times. You see, the issue wasn't strength, it wasn't beauty, it wasn't gifting, it was self exaltation. You see, he stopped asking what God wanted and started asking what he wanted. What do I want? You see, we face the same temptation every day in humanity today.

Social Media And Self Exaltation

SPEAKER_00

I mean, give you an example. Look at Facebook, look at social media. In 2006, it began as a way to connect people, it started with college people, but it changed. It became a platform for self-promotion. I even fell into it. I don't, I don't, I don't even put much stock into Facebook anymore because I know how it's controlled. We saw that we did not have a voice. So a lot of us don't put stock in Facebook anymore. But there are still a lot of people who do. And you watch it, and it's just a platform for self-promotion. I mean, think about it. We curate an image, we count the likes, we measure our value by attention. I mean, if you're sitting there looking daily to see how many friends you have and to see if you lost friends or gained friends, you might have a problem. I don't think I've ever done that. Facebook got me a couple times, yeah. Emotionally. Yeah. I let it affect my life sometimes. Yeah, absolutely. But when you start doing things like that, measure your value by attention with likes and this, that, and the other, that is dangerous. And you see, it's not the platform that's dangerous. You see, the danger comes when our identity becomes tied to our elevation. If you look at Ezekiel 28, it describes exactly that. 2817. Who there's that 17 number again? But 28, Ezekiel 28, 17 says, your heart was filled and lifted up because of your beauty. You see, if you're looking at Lucifer, his gifts became his identity. His identity became his pride, and his pride became rebellion. Because the moment we start worshiping what God gave us more than the God Himself, we're walking down that same road as Lucifer. I'm gonna say that again. The moment we start worshiping what God gave us more than God Himself, we're walking down the same path. It may be talent, it may be money, it may be influence, it may be knowledge, and none of those things are evil. None of them. But when the gift takes the throne, the giver gets pushed aside. And you see, my friends, that is exactly where the fall begins. Yeshua said, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. That was in Luke ten, verse eighteen. Now, guys, I don't know about you, but lightning's pretty daggum fast. And if it if it strikes close enough to you, it'll make you hit the floor. But you see, that fall, that decision to fall may have developed over time. It may have taken a long time to get there, but the fall itself is sudden. That's another lesson. That's another lesson. Bad things add up, and they break, and that fall is really sudden. Because people often think they can play with pride without consequences, but let me tell you, pride is a crack in a foundation. You might not see the damage immediately. It's kind of like a slow leak. You don't see the damage immediately, yet the structure is already weakening. If you look at Proverbs chapter 16, verse 18, it says, Pride goes before destruction, and a haunty spirit before a fall. Notice it says, before a fall. Not before success, not before promotion, but before destruction. The enemy's original message was simple. Exalt yourself. But you see, the God of God's message is the total opposite of that. That message is humble yourself. You see, the kingdom of darkness says, My will be done. The others put the pride away and says, No, Lord, you are the Father, and your will be done. You see how one seeks the throne, and then the other seeks surrender.

Lucifer Versus Jesus On Humility

SPEAKER_00

And you want to know the beautiful part of all this? Two stories, two divine stories. Loose for grasp for elevation, and tried for elevation, but Yeshua chose humility, Jesus chose humility, the total opposite of the spectrum, it's almost like a duality. Philippians 2 tells us that through him, and though he existed in the form of God, he still humbled himself and became obedient even unto his death. Once again, Lucifer said, I will ascend. Once again, Jesus said, I will obey. The other was lifted up and was exalted because of humility. So the question today isn't whether we struggle with pride, because we all do. You would be lying if you said you didn't. But the real question is who sits on the throne of our hearts? Because the fall of Lucifer reminds us that the greatest danger is not weakness, it's self-exaltation. It's having a big head. But guys, the safest place we'll ever be is where Jesus taught us to live. And that is under the authority of God, with a humble heart saying, Not my will, but yours be done. So remember that this week. When you want something so bad, God's not mean because He's not giving it to you. There's a lesson to be learned. There's a method to the madness. Let's go to the Lord in prayer.

Prayer For Humble Hearts

SPEAKER_00

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you today, Lord. We just thank you. We thank you for waking us up today. We thank you for giving this lesson on pride and humility. Lord, just please be with us, hold us up, teach us to be humble, teach us to serve you, teach us to serve our neighbors, teach us to serve our brothers and sisters, Lord. Lord, we know that we get proud. I am guilty, and everybody listening is guilty. But Lord, you are a forgiving God, you are a great God and you keep your promises. We love you for that, Lord. Lord, I ask you just to come today and lift us up so that we do not fall because of pride. Lift us up into humility, Lord. Show us the wonders of your grace, the wonders of your wisdom. Let us make solid decisions for the kingdom, for the heavenly kingdom, Lord, and keep us protected. And Lord, please provide us a bounty of blessings. We pray these things in Jesus Christ's holy, heavenly name. By the blood of Yeshua, we are covered. Amen and hallelujah.
