We share why a praying parent is a powerful force in a world that is not neutral, drawing on Scripture to show how prayer plants seeds that endure and breaks generational cycles through Christ. We call parents to cover minds, friendships, and futures with steady, simple, daily prayer.

• children born onto a spiritual battlefield
• authority and responsibility granted to parents
• Proverbs 22:6 as a promise of planted seeds
• Jesus delivering a child in Matthew 17
• prayer as hedge and angelic covering from Psalm 91
• breaking generational curses through Galatians 3:13
• practical ways to pray over home and future
• perseverance when results seem silent
• one praying parent reshaping a bloodline

I love you, God loves you, and if you do not have Jesus, you better get right

SPEAKER_01:

Hey guys, it's B-Rob and we thank you for tuning in once again to the Foo for Thought Faith Cast. And we're not gonna run real long tonight, I don't think. Um, but I wanted to do another episode today because I missed a couple days, but uh I just wanted to share this with you. I found somebody sent this to me. Um, it doesn't have an author or anything, but I wanted to share it with you, and uh it's called Praying Parent. Uh my mother was a praying parent, and uh there's nothing more dangerous than a praying parent, and that's a good dangerous. That's not a bad dangerous, that's a good dangerous. You see, there is nothing more threatening to the kingdom of darkness than a child who's been covered in prayer and raised on the word of God, and there's nothing more heartbroken and more heartbreaking than when that covering is absent. You see, many parents don't realize this truth. Our children are born into a spiritual battle, spiritual war, spiritual battlefield. They are not born into neutral territory, they enter a world where forces are already at work, forces that seek influence, access, and control. You see, our children don't just carry dreams and potential, they also come through bloodlines, bloodlines that hold stories of bondage, addiction, anger, trauma, abuse, and unhealed wounds. You see, the enemy studies families, he watches patterns, he looks for cycles he can repeat. But here is good news: God has not left parents, you and me powerless. You see, he gave parents authority, he has given parents responsibility, and he has given parents the privilege to stand in the gap. Yep. You see, scripture gives us both a command and a promise in Proverbs 22, 6. It says, train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. You see, notice what the verse does not say. It doesn't say the child will never struggle, it does not say they will never wander. But it does promise this. What is planted will remain. You see, the word of God once planted is alive. It breathes, it speaks, and even if a child drifts for a season, the word would call them back, just as it has me so many times. You see, those bedtimes, those prayers at bedtime, they matter. The scripture you speak over your children matter. Every time you declare the name of Jesus over their life, it matters more than you can imagine. We see this truth clearly in the ministry of Jesus. In Matthew 17, a desperate father brings his suffering son to Jesus. You see, this was not a grown man. This was someone's child. You see, the father cries out in verse 15, Lord have mercy on my son. For he is sore vexed. That child was tormented, bound, overwhelmed. But when Jesus stepped in, everything changed. You see, verse 18 says, And Jesus rebuked the devil, and he departed out of him, and the child was cured from that very hour. You see, Jesus did not overlook the suffering of that child, he confronted the darkness directly, and he delivered him from it. And here is the truth we must hold on to very tightly. Jesus is the same today as he was then. You see, covering your children in prayer is not just a religious habit, it's spiritual protection in a spiritual war. You see, prayer builds a hedge around their minds, around their hearts, around their future. Psalms ninety-one, verse eleven declares, for he shall give his angels charge over thee to keep thee in all ways. You see, prayer breaks what tries to travel through bloodlines. It cancels darkness, it speaks a different future over your children, over your spouse, and over your home. You see, through Christ, generational curses and generational chains do not get the final word. Galatians three, verse thirteen reminds us, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. You see, you may have seen cycles repeat in your own life, in your own family, patterns of pain, patterns of loss, patterns of bondage. But you see, through Jesus, those cycles can end with your children. Your prayers matter even when you don't see immediate results, even when they are young, even when they don't understand, even when silence is the only response you hear. You see, God is listening. God is not only listening, God is moving, and God is covering. Never underestimate what God can do through one praying mother or one praying father or a couple praying together. You see, a child raised under prayer, you see, they can be fought, but they cannot be easily taken. You see, the word that is instilled and hidden inside of them, God's word. It will speak. The prayers spoken over them will stand. The same Jesus who delivered that boy will deliver them because he still protects, he still restores, he still responds to those who call on his name. You see, in a world where our children are increasingly exposed to sin, exposed to darkness, where sin is amplified. You see, this is not an optional call. This is an urgent call. We must cover them in the blood of Jesus now. We must pray over their minds, we must pray over their friendships, we must pray over their future spouses, we must pray over their calling, we must pray over their purpose in the kingdom of God. We must anoint their rooms in prayer. We must stand in the gap when they do not know. We have to teach them how to pray for themselves. You see, this is not fear, this is spiritual responsibility. Because our children are born into a spiritual battlefield. But we as parents have the authority to stand in the gap. We must train our children in the word. We must plant seeds that will not depart, even if they wander. We must pray that the generational cycles and curses are canceled. We must pray that the assignment of darkness is canceled. Because once again, Jesus is the same Jesus today, and he still delivers, he still protects, he still restores today. You see, one praying parent can shift the destiny of a child. You see, a lot of praying parents can shift the destiny of an entire bloodline. Guys, my name is B Robb. This is the Food for Thought Faith Cast. I love you, God loves you, and if you do not have Jesus, you better get right.
