Heart Surgery with the Divine Surgeon

Be Rob Season 4 Episode 34

What if the most important surgery you'll ever need isn't physical but spiritual? Ezekiel 36:26 offers a profound promise that cuts straight to the heart: "I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."

This episode dives deep into the transformative metaphor of divine heart surgery. Just as a failing physical heart requires a skilled surgeon and a donor's sacrifice, our spiritual hearts—hardened by pride, pain, and worldly pursuits—need the Master Surgeon's touch. Through personal stories and biblical insights, we explore how Jesus performs this life-changing operation, removing what's dying and replacing it with something vibrant and new.

The beautiful paradox of spiritual transformation emerges throughout our conversation: to truly live, we must surrender. To receive, we must let go. To be healed, we must acknowledge our brokenness. Whether you're carrying the weight of unhealthy relationships, destructive habits, lingering guilt, or stubborn pride, the Divine Surgeon stands ready with instruments of grace and restoration.

Beyond individual transformation, we witness how this heart surgery is happening collectively—in families, communities, and our nation. A revival is underway as hearts of stone become hearts that beat in rhythm with God's purposes.

Ready for your spiritual heart transplant? The operating room is open, the Surgeon is waiting, and your new heart is prepared. Surrender to the process and discover the tender, responsive heart God has always intended for you to have.

Hey guys, this B-Rob. It's the Food for Thought Faith Cast, and God bless you all. We're going to be doing a little Bible study today out of the book of Ezekiel, Ezekiel 36, 26. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Man, that's great news. Is it not? Is it not great news? All right. We're gonna go to the Bible app now and hear a little something from the Bible app.

Today's verse is one of my favorite verses in the whole Bible. It's Ezekiel 36, 26. It just says, I'm going to give you a new heart and put my spirit within you. I'll remove from you a heart of stone and I will give you a heart of flesh. To have a soft heart towards God is a prized possession in the kingdom of government. About two years ago, I was diagnosed with cancer in my mouth, and that cancer had spread from my mouth all the way through my face and caused a lot of damage, caused a lot of dead tissue, had it eaten through bone and flesh. And amazingly, the doctors were able to come in and remove all of that cancer, remove all of the dead bone and flesh from my face, and actually replaced it with healthy bone and flesh from my leg. It was an incredible miracle that happened. Now I think about what God is doing in my life and in your life every day. He's coming in by his spirit and he's taking out the old and he's renewing our lives. This is the plan of salvation for you and for me to make us whole, to make us alive. So here's the invitation for us today. Is there anything in my heart that is maybe become dead, maybe become callous or hard towards God? And today is an invitation to come back to God and say, God, would you come in and make me whole again?

Isn't that great? Isn't that amazing? Our God is so good. I mean, think about it. When someone needs a physical heart transprant, it's pretty serious, right? It's very serious. It means their heart is failing and left on that, and left on their own, that person will probably physically die, right? But there's hope, the possibility of a new heart. Jesus gives hope. But in order to get a new heart, a good and capable surgeon is essential, correct? More importantly, in order for that person to live, that person must physically die, right? Well, maybe not physically, metaphorically speaking. The failing heart is then replaced with a thriving heart. An abundant life is once again possible. So in some way, when someone needs a spiritual heart transplant, it's pretty serious, right? The heart is failing and left on its own, that person will probably spiritually die. Do you see the metaphor that I'm going for here? But there is hope, and there is always a possibility of a new heart. In order to get a new heart, though, like I said, there is a surgeon, and that surgeon is essential. And when we're talking about a spiritual heart, we're talking about that surgeon being God in Jesus Christ. God is our good surgeon. In Ezekiel 36, 26, it says, And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. Like I said, Jesus is the surgeon. He gave his life for yours. He takes your insufficient efforts and replaces them with something better. But there's a catch. In order to receive this abundant heart and this abundant life, you must simply ask him for help. You must ask the surgeon to come into your heart and do the work that he does. You must allow him to do surgery on your heart. You must surrender what is dying and trust him with your life. You got to put it at the foot of the cross, give it all to Jesus. There's a lot of things that probably need to die. A lot of habits that are impacting your life. Maybe it's an unhealthy relationship or guilt or regret from your past. Maybe it's a lost loved one. Maybe it's just an attitude of pride and insecurity. But whatever it is, we got the surgeon in the house, and he can fix it all. Whatever it is, Jesus can take the broken and failing parts of your heart and replace them with something new and living, something life-giving. Do you follow what I'm saying? So try to process that. And as you're doing that, processing, ask yourself: do I trust him? Do I really, really, really, really trust him with all the details of my life? Because he already knows. You can hide, you can run, but you can't hide. Do you trust him with all the details of your life? Are you willing to let him do surgery on your heart and show you a better way to live? Does that make sense? I hope so. Because God wants to save you more than you know. He wants to make you brand new. He wants to have fellowship with his child. Just like a good papa. And the best thing about it is, once he does, he wants you to tell someone else what he's done. Because it's an amazing, glorious thing. So if God has already transformed your heart and your life, go tell somebody. Share your story with somebody who needs to hear it, somebody else that needs a heart transplant or a transformation. Guys, this is an amazing thing. Ezekiel 36, 26, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove you. I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. That's a promise. But you have to be a willing, patient. And that means you have to give up and make sacrifices, just like Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for you. Just wanted you to take a minute right now and invite God into this time. We're gonna go into prayer, ask Him to silence any distractions and just try to have a conversation with God. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you, Lord. We want to praise and glorify your name, Lord. We want you to be that surgeon we all know you can be, Lord. When you tell the rain to come, the rain comes. When you tell the storm to stop, it obeys you. When you speak, you shift atmospheres, Lord. Because you alone are in control. You alone are God, and you alone are worthy of our praise, Lord. God, you are so good to us. We thank you for your grace. We thank you for your mercy. We thank you for giving your son so that we can live eternally with you. We thank you for the decision that you give us to make whether we want heart surgery or not, Lord. Lord, just keep us. Keep our minds on things above, not on earthly things, Lord. Because we know we can do anything through Christ who strengthens us, Lord. And we know that's all because of you. Lord, you are so good to us, Lord. I just want to come to you right now. Let's take a minute just to bask in his presence. So great. Thank you. Lord, thank you. It's in Jesus' name we pray. First Peter chapter five, sixes six and seven says, humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. So what worries and concerns do you need to give to God right now? Just take a moment. And ask him. Maybe it's forgiveness. Maybe it's for strength. Maybe it's to get rid of anxiety. Maybe it's to help you go through a relationship that you're going through. Maybe it's to get rid of some habits. Just give it all to God. Let him be your surgeon. Let him transform your heart. Luke 1.37 says, For no word from God will ever fail. For no word from God will ever fail. Guys, make sure you're prayed up and you're reading your Bible. You got the armor of God on because we are living in spiritual warfare and we need God right now more than anything. We need to turn to Jesus. Because how we view God's word influences how we respond to God's word. So make sure you're prayed up and make sure you stay in the word. Take a moment to evaluate if you truly believe every promise God has made and the words He has spoken. Think about how you need to respond to that when you pray. Just want to let you know God is with you and God is for you. So allow the truth to inform your thoughts and decisions throughout your day. Thank you guys. Guys, that man, that's good stuff. It really is. It really is. It just reminds me of John 3.16, for God so loved the world that he gave his only son. He gave his only son. Would you do that? I don't think you would. Not for somebody else. You probably wouldn't even give up your own life for somebody else, would you? Those are questions we need to ask ourselves. Well, guys, I've got great news on the world front. Donald Trump just truth three hours ago. MedMed Hospitals, the new error in health control. Speaking of surgeons, see how God works? I told you it was a great time to be alive back in 2015-2016. I was talking about this stuff, and people thought I was absolutely nuts. It's funny, I was at a wedding last night. I saw an old friend. I didn't see him. He was working, but his wife was there. And back in 2016, when I was talking about this stuff, we were good friends back then. He was actually a drummer in my band, Two Hands. And they thought I was crazy. They were nurses, both of them are nurses. And then when COVID hit, they thought I was even more crazy. But it's the year 2025, and um, she pulled me to the side and said, you know, you weren't crazy. You were just fearless. And everything you were saying, I believe now. And it's almost 10 years. It's been nine years. That was a breath of fresh air to hear. That was God telling me that I'm doing the right thing to keep trusting my heart, keep trusting the spirit that he gave me, and keep moving forward. I see patterns, and if they don't make sense, it kind of triggers my brain. Don't ask me why or how, but that is just something that God has given me an ability to do. Um, I talked about meds, I talked about gold and silver being the currency, I talked about us being free, the pendulum is going, the power is going to from the elite satanic cult, which is the 2% or the 3% of the population, back to the people where it was. God is coming back to our country. We are having a revival. People thought I was crazy, and look where we're at now in 2025. It's just an amazing thing. And it's just God letting me know I was on track the whole time. I was over the target, we like to call it. Um, guys, I just want to say how humbled I am. I watched a uh young couple get married yesterday. Want to say congratulations to Tripp and Aaron Scarborough. I've known Tripp since I was a kid. He's a great guy, a man of Christ. One of the few weddings I've done where all the men laid hands on him and prayed on him during the time of the speeches. I was able to bring the house down with a Brandon Lake song. Thank God for giving me the talent to do that. People were raising hands and worship. It was an amazing time. I wish I could do that every day of my life. But unfortunately, in this world, the only way you can do that every day of your life is if you're the one doing it. So stay prayed up, stay in the word, stay with God. Hell is too long to be wrong, as my friend Frank Shelton would say, and he's 100% true. So if you don't know Jesus, call or text me, 706-691-1043, and I will tell you all about him. I will tell you all about the heart surgeries that he has done and he is going to do. I love you guys. Have a blessed Sunday and tell somebody about Jesus today.
